Lunenburg is a town in Essex County, Vermont, United States. The population was 1,328 at the 2000 census. The name stems from one of the titles for Prince Karl Wilhelm Ferdinand of Brunswick-Lunenburg.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Profile for Lunenburg, Vermont )〕 Lunenburg contains the villages of West Lunenburg, South Lunenburg and Gilman, and is part of the Berlin, NH–VT Micropolitan Statistical Area. Lunenburg was the home of Vermont State Representative Adino Nye Bell. ==Geography== According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 45.4 square miles (117.5 km2), of which 45.1 square miles (116.8 km2) is land and 0.3 square mile (0.7 km2) (0.62%) is water.
